Research Emphasis
One of the more exciting aspects of University Research is that it is constantly changing. New discoveries, the unexpected, even blind alleys, all contribute to a dynamic research environment. Then too there are the practical considerations of funding, personnel, lab and equipment.
All this together makes it difficult to permanently categorize what we do. However, based on the research that has recently been done and the research that is currently underway, our faculty have established four general emphasis areas of research focus.

Emerging Areas:
Automation and Mechanization
Land, Air, Water, and Environmental Engineering (LAWREE) is the oldest emphasis area whereas BioEnergy and BioProducts is one of the newest.
